we can work on rock, folk, funk, metal, jazz, praise & worship, pop, learn your favorite songs, fill in gaps in your musical understanding, or write and record your own original songs. you will learn to tune your guitar, how to read music (tabs or standard notation), read chord diagrams, and transcribe music.
my favorite way to teach is through songs – you won’t have to work through some boring workbook full of songs written 70 years ago! every song has tons of “jumping-off points” in it that provide the basis for deeper lessons. i will stay focused on the music that made you want to pick up the guitar or bass in the first place so that you stay interested and keep practicing! the whole point is to have fun!
the cost of weekly half hour lessons is $80 per month, or $150 for weekly hour lessons. individual lessons (not monthly) are $23 per half hour.
