- While we all love the heavy, warm flavors of apple pie moonshine, apples can also make a crisp, refreshing treat for the summertime. Chop 2 summer apples (a mix of colors is best, we prefer a yellow and a green) and add to blender, along with the vest of 1 lemon and a few ounces (to taste) of moonshine. Throw in 1 c. ice and blend, blend blend, until you have a tasty and refreshing summer slushy.
